Spring Emerges Quietly
Recently I went for a springtime hike through one of my favorite places.
The weather was beautiful and it was the perfect time to experience the beauty of early spring. It’s rained a lot recently and the clouds have finally broken into beautiful sun rays that warmed the earth and encouraged new growth from trees, grass and flowers.
There are certain plant bulbs that only bloom in the forest every few years, making it extra unique to happen on the woods at the perfect time. I’ve been anxiously waiting for spring to see if it’s lucky enough to be one of those special years. It is.
All around us the forest floor was speckled with newly emerged flower shoots with a few breaking into delicate yellow flowers. The shoots stood tall above the forest floor and the petals curl inward together and reminded me of small yellow dancers.
This perfect picture of nature’s beauty is far more amazing than anything I could have created in my backyard. Even with thousands of flower bulbs no human would be able to create such incredibly placed beauty with such perfect placement and no disruption of the forest floor.
It would take thousands of dollars and a lot of forest disruption to achieve such a perfect image artificially. I’m so happy spring has arrived and I can experience the subtle changes of the seasons.
Enjoy nature as it changes!
